Hi, I'm Matt.
After more than two decades working in IT and telecommunications — supporting everything from tiny home offices to large business networks — I wanted to build something closer to home.
Mr Wivey is that idea: a local business offering honest, friendly technology support without the confusing jargon. No pushy sales, no talking down to you, no problem too small.
For me it's never really been about fixing computers. It's about helping people — so they can get back to their family, their work or their day, without the stress.
Pick what sounds like your problem.
Chances are I've seen it many times before — and there's usually a simple, honest fix.
Proudly local to West Somerset.
Based in Wiveliscombe and covering the surrounding towns and villages — including everywhere below. Not sure if I cover you? Just ask.
- Wiveliscombe

Home support is pay-as-you-go at £60 for the first hour (minimum charge) and £45 per hour thereafter — no VAT added. Business support is £85 for the first hour and £65 per hour thereafter, or fix your costs with Business Priority at £99/month (£55 per hour labour) or Business Priority Plus at £149/month (£50 per hour labour). I'll always give you a clear estimate before starting.
Yes. Home visits are available across West Somerset including Wiveliscombe, Taunton, Wellington, Minehead, Watchet, Williton and surrounding villages.
Absolutely. I look after small businesses, charities, farms, retail and tradespeople with anything from a single laptop to full office IT, Microsoft 365 and networking.
Yes. I work with Macs, MacBooks, iPads and iPhones as well as Windows PCs and Android devices.
Very likely. Most Wi-Fi issues come down to router placement, older kit or thick walls. I'll survey your home and recommend the right fix, from a router tweak to a full mesh system.
Yes — for smaller issues I can connect securely to your computer, fix the problem and be gone in minutes. It's often the quickest and cheapest option.
Often, yes. I can attempt recovery from failing drives, deleted folders and cloud accounts. I'll be honest about the chances before we begin.
The UK's traditional copper analogue phone network is being switched off. That means old-style home phone lines won't work much longer. I can move your home phone to VoIP — internet-based calling — so you keep your existing number and stay connected, with clearer calls and no landline rental.
Let's get your tech working properly.
Give me a call, drop me a message or fill in the form — I'll get back to you personally, usually the same day.
